Here is the bluegrass band Cherryholmes playing "Don't Give Your Heart To A Knoxville Girl." Just all kinds of good. Great band.

"Hercules" by Aaron Neville with Daryl Hall and Shane Theriot...Live from Daryl's House.

A great cover of "Snatch It Back And Hold It" by Gov't Mule. Warren's simple solo style shines in this performance.

Space, my friends, space. This is the most important take home message I have learned from you Michael, and I think Joscho does it as good as anyone. He can shred when he wants, but he knows how to keep it super smooth when the song calls for it. Would love it if you could do a reacts video to this live version of one of his own compositions.

Hi Michael,
This is my first request on guitargate. I've been enjoying your reacts videos on you tube for years. I have been a Bromberg fan since high school in the early 70's. I love this solo cover of this old Dylan song. I hope you enjoy it too.

Happy holidays to you and your fam, Michael. It's me, the Father John Misty guy. I have another mind blower for you to react/review. This is progressive metal though. Maybe the best there currently is. Most certainly on par with the best of them. I've been askin for it for a while, but Im sure it got BURIED in the ocean of requests you must get. That said, please enjoy and do a video for BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME's Extremophile Elite. 🀘

Hello, Guitargate!

A co-worker showed me this video a few years ago. I went into it with an eye roll and a bad attitude. Five minutes later I was standing stunned and asking to watch it again.

This is the most surprising and incredible performance of Little Drummer Boy that I've seen. Perfect for watching on repeat this time of year - or anytime you need a musical mood booster!

Happy holidays, everyone!

Jon

Hi Michael,
after following your channel for a couple of years I have finally joined up with your great teleport deal, (waiting for the second batch currently). I realize you are after live videos and I couldn't find a live version but would like to suggest you have a listen to this cover of "Shape of things" by Jeff Healey.
He drops a couple of building solos in it, then unleashes in a b section. The single coil tone alone is beyond compare and then they finish off with dual part harmonies. Some really nice wah in the background.
This song is one of those uplifting tunes that always seem to lift your mood everytime which is hard to explain.

He also covered "Badge" on the same album which has had the same enthusiasm applied to it and his rhythm section is just off the planet. One can only imagine how could his live shows must have been and his voice was just so satisfying.
RIP Jeff

Micheal,

Really enjoy your reaction videos.
Someone I haven’t seen anyone react to his Clarence White. One reason is probably there’s not a lot of live video on YouTube of Clarence playing.
He was one of the best flat pickers in bluegrass and his innovation in creating the B Bender guitar along with Graham Parsons during his time with the Byrds, he really doesn’t receive the recognition he deserves.
His flat picking on Soldiers Joy is great, Hybrid picking on Listen to the Mockingbird, and B-bender innovation influenced countless other artists and changed country music.

Michael,

Been thinking about your Reacts videos - absolutely love 'em!

I'd like to suggest/request that you do a React video to the Allman Brothers Band performing Into the Mystic - one of my favorite Van Morrison tunes. To say that Warren and Derek do the song justice is an understatement! I'd love to hear your reaction to this performance - I think it's one of the best I've ever heard.

The Beach Boys with Ray Charles playing "Sail On, Sailor." Ray slows it down gives it some soul. It takes half a verse for The Beach Boys to adjust, but still sounds great. This might be my favorite Beach Boys tune (also covered by Los Lobos). Such wonderful harmonies.

The Band playing "Willie and the Hand Jive" with Levon Helm on vocals. Video is a bit spotty, but the performance is solid.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers playing "Swingin'" live in Germany 1999. Petty has so many good songs that this one gets lost in the shuffle.

Junior Murvin singing "Polive & Theives." Great song. So many good versions, but I like the the reggae dub versions best. There are some videos from a concert with the full band, but this is the best vocal version. Clash version is great too.

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones with John Cowan on Vocals play one of my favorite cover versions of "Oh! Darling." Great vocals. Wish there was an actaul video...but this is the Live Art version. So great.
