The back and sides are made from a solid Indian rosewood, the top is an unparalleled solid Sitka spruce.  The inlays are a mother-of-pearl on an ebony fretboard, the binding is a 5 ply maple purf.  The inlay pegs are made from abalone, and this acoustic guitar is finished off with gold plated tuners and buttons. The specifications and features on the Taylor T5 Standard Acoustic-Electric Guitar with spruce top include a fully hollow thinline body, 5 way electric and acoustic magnetic humbucker, dynamic body sensor, and a preamp system.  The top is a quality solid spruce, the neck is made from mahogany, and the body is sapele.  The saddle is bone nut with stylized f holes, chrome hardware, and a full binding finish this quitar off.

Guild Songbird Acoustic Electric Guitar | S4CE

guildsongbirdThe Guild Songbird Acoustic Electric Guitar made from a chambored mahogany is an acoustic electric guitar that plays live and loud.  Unplugged this guitar plays with tons of volume and little tone.  The Guild Songbird needs to be played with a preamp to receive the most it has to offer.  With a spruce top and and small coils this guitar is perfect for a beginner or can be played a professional musician.

The pickup on this guitar is absolutely amazing the Fishman AGP2 system was specifically designed for the Guild Songbird Acoustic Electric Guitar and has absolutely amazing sound.  The bass, treble and volume controls are nice and close together for easy adjusting. The finish needs more maintenance from all the hand rubbing but is a necessity to keep this beauty beautiful.

It is a shame that Guild has stopped production of the Guild Songbird Acoustic Electric Guitar since it is loved by so many musicians.

The Songbird retailed for $600 and can still be found for around that much on eBay below.
