The Guild GAD-F40 acoustic guitar has an original grand orchestra-style, solid wood body designed after the 1955 F-40 Valencia body. With a sound that is balanced, resonant, and full of harmonics, it is a truly great guitar. The sound is complete with crisp highs, balanced mids, and smooth lows; however, some customers report that the original strings may need to be switched out, but after strings were changed, complete satisfaction was imminent. This guitar has good action with absolutely no string buzz. Features include a Valencia Grand Orchestra body style with a 16" lower bout, solid Sitka spruce top, solid flamed maple back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, one-piece mahogany neck, ebony bridge pins, wood binding, mother of pearl inlays, and tortoise shell pickguard. Colors available are blonde and black.
As with other Guild guitars, the GAD-F40 is built to play and is built to last. It is very comfortable to play, and if classic Dreadnought style bodies are a little too much for you to handle, then the GAD-F40 design may be easier for you to play.
